Yoga classes

I teach Hatha yoga, a form of yoga that prioritises mindfulness, calm and relaxation. My studies in India make these classes faithful to the origins of yoga, with a focus on the cultural and spiritual history of the form.

The yoga classes are usually an hour to an hour and half long with pranayama and yoga asana, followed by a yoga nidra. The classes are quite intimate with gentle instructions and assisted adjustments, to allow you to flow into yoga postures correctly.

Hatha yoga means the union of Sun and Moon — opposing forces coming together in balance. Each class works through the body alongside the breath to release tension, build strength, and create a steady mind.

Classes follow a sequence of:

 

    • Pranayama — breath control exercises to cleanse stagnant energy, expand lung capacity and calm the nervous system

    • Yoga Asana — postures that bend, stretch and twist, designed to make the body supple, strong and flexible

    • Yoga Nidra — a guided deep relaxation at the end, often everyone’s favourite part

Whether you are a complete beginner or an experienced practitioner, you will always be met where you are.

You can also have 1-1 sessions or a smaller group of students if you feel that going to larger classes will be too daunting.

If you’re too busy or too far away to attend classes in person, you can enjoy a live yoga lesson in the comfort of your own home. All you need is a smartphone, tablet or laptop, an internet connection and a quiet space. Contact me for details and times.

 

Women’s Circles

A women-only circle which honours the cycle of the woman’s body.

In these sessions we will create a calm, holistic environment where we learn to connect to our menstrual cycle, tap into the divine feminine, and incorporate elements of yoga and traditional Chinese medicine systems.

This can be lead with a cacao ceremony, sound healing and sharing circles, followed by a relaxing yoga Nidra.
This will allow you to tune into the flux and flow of your menstrual cycle and connect to other like minded women.

Yoga Classes For Women’s Health

Yoga for women’s health is a specially formulated yoga sequence designed especially for your womb, adjusting to suit your cycle, whether you are trying to improve overall health, balance your hormones, preparing the womb for pregnancy or whether you are in peri or menopause. We will use specially-adapted yoga sequences using traditional Chinese Medicine acupressure points to encourage blood circulation and promote a healthy womb. This is followed by a relaxing yoga nidra, designed to nourish and calm the body, and to de-stress the central nervous system which is vital for a healthy cycle.

Live yoga sessions in the comfort of your own home. All you need is a device, an internet connection and a quiet space to practice.
